Beginners Ride

Published
14 Mar 2017

Starting 11th April this event will be every Tuesday through to September, meeting 6.30pm at the White Bench, top of Dovecote Lane, Yaxley.

For riders who have ridden solo at an average speed of 15 mph or above and want to learn how to ride in a group safely.

We will teach you about etiquette and techniques when riding in a group and learn from experienced riders who will come on the rides to help.

We will go as fast as the slowest rider and will not leave you behind, this is not a training ride.

The distance will be around 20 miles and this will be our main course which will change during the season as we progress:-

Here is a link to the route on Garmin Connect: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/12009337

What you’ll need to do to prepare for the ride:-

1. Bring your lights with you for the first 3 weeks and the last 3 weeks
2. Make sure your bike is in good working order
3. Always have a kit to repair a puncture
4. You must wear a helmet
5. Listen to instructions and advice along the way

Hope to see you there, it will be fun!
